About Devon

I am a lighting designer, programmer, and all around theater and dance professional. I began dancing at the age of two and a half and never stopped, growing a love for the performing arts throughout my entire life. Throughout college, I have performed in many of the University of Buffalo Department of Theater and Dance’s productions, including Emerging Choreographers Workshop, MFA Thesis Concert, and ChoreoLab; I also had the experience of performing and fundraising for Dancer’s Responding to AIDS twice while in high school. During my time studying dance and psychology at the UB, I branched out and found a new passion for technical theater and design. I have been a lighting designer for Find Your Beat, Zodiaque Dance Company, and UB’s ChoreoLab, Dancer’s Workshop, and Senior Showcase. Also, I have had the opportunity to work with Mixed Blood Theater in Minneapolis as a production assistant, Torn Space Theater in Buffalo as an assistant stage manager and box office manager, as well as programming, running the light board, and helping with electrics for several UB Department of Theater and Dance productions. During my last semester at UB, I was also a choreographer in Dancer’s Workshop, and assistant lighting designer for Cinderella. Since graduating in May I have moved to Minneapolis, and am pursuing my goals in both theater and dance.
